Usually pretty funky and awkward looking......
I think this one likes it on the mountain......

They did not use it for Nuclear Testing till 1956....

The 2,000 steps that bring you to the top of Mount Sinai....
Is 2,000 rock steps on the top part of the mountain.....
Down below there is a ravine behind the St. Katherine Monastery where there is the 3,750 steps of Penitence .......
That is (of course)...... available only.......If your a monk ...
It is about a 3-4 hour hike......

Here we are .....  below the 2,000 steps......
At the Mt. Sinai version of a 7-11 store....
Hot coffee and tea, trinkets, etc. for the tourist....
These are not Camel Camps like on the way up....
This is Tourist Central and the Guides Camps....
Time to find your guide and some coffee.....
Now that your below the 2,000 steps......
You can start the long hike down.....

Once you get past the 2,000 steps.......

I Tell You...
It just ain't right.....
Here I am .....standing at the edge of the water......
Been fishing for about a hour.......
Casting out and reeling back in.....
Nothing but snags and seaweed of course......
Same as always ......when.......WOW.......
2 full size fish jump up out of the water right there in front of me.....
Not half as far out as I have been casting.......
Both of them looked like trout.....8-10 inch real fish......
Not the little bullheads I still can't even catch......
Now get this.....  They both jumped out of the water......
One after the other and were both in the air at the same time to see.....
Even stranger is this......  They jumped a good 2 feet out of the water......
Yes ....I saw a pair of  8-10 inch fish jump 2 feet out of the water......
Not 20 feet from shore.....It was a real thrill for this fishing spot......
Of course I hurried and recast right over to them...... about 5 times......or more.....
I soon gave up.......  I had already been at it quite a while......
People say.....   Fishing is not just about the catching.....
But when you have tried for so long .... and every single day.......
Well......   I Tell You......
It Just Ain't Right......

On what is called Mount Moses, Mount Sinai, Mount Horeb, and Mount Musa.......for a start.....

And of course the huge Saint Katherine Monastery at the base of this mountain....

This is my Bedouin Guide at about 6 A.M.......
This is his Coffee Shop way up on the mountain....
A nice guy.... He later helped me get to the Red Sea....
It took 3 hours to get to the Sea from the Mountain.....
No...no...   I know what your thinking.....
And yes .... Egyptian Hashish would floor you fast....
It was another guy who actually drove.....
