It IS made the same as mine ...same materials and same everything....
Same Quality kite as mine...... witch was expensive.....
So the new one is for Amber.....Hoping she will like it....
It is often windy here around my place on the Bay.....
These are very easy and Big Fun type kite s.....

This is how these Flying Wing Stunt and Trick kites stand.....
They take off and land in this position......
No crashes , no missed launches... no oops ..ever...
Gentle and awesome to see and do...
Amazing to fly and control.....
You lay out your lines.....
Attach the lines to the two loops on the kite......
All loops and rigging stays tied when stored......
Takes 2 seconds to attach lines......stand kite up......
Now walk to the other end of your lines......
Pick up the controls...... and whenever your ready .....
Pull on the lines and the kite soars almost straight up....

Although whoever tied the dual bridles to a single hand stlye control did a good rigging job...

That will go soon.....

I control my kite with 2 wrist strap controls and  3% line for exact movements.....

I do mean exact......

The wrist straps and 3% is the only way to go....

See how Ambers kite also stands .......

It is the same as mine.....

Simply pull the strings and it is in the air.....

EASY....

Anyway......
As you can see there is a small size difference.....
Both are built with identical style and design .....
Made for Dual lines and complete control.....
These are both FLYING WING style kites.....

Amber will likely learn fast.... as it is BIG FUN....

I have sewn to the leading edge spur ......
The ripper point needles at the points.....
Plus  I've got the bridle just tight enough......
So she screams in even a small gust.......
That and the  L.E.D.'s for night flying .....
Will give you exactly 21 second to run when you see or hear it coming....

From SHARM EL SHEIKH.......

I crossed the RED SEA ......

Landed in HURGHADA.....

Immediately found a taxi to where I could get tranportation to CAIRO.....

So, from HURGHADA to EL GOUNA by Super Taxi....

A couple hours in El GOUNA and Off I Go to CAIRO.....

It was already dark when I got to HURGHADA......

It is city sized but no connection to Cairo at night........

All these tourist towns were looking the same by the time I got on a bus in El Gouna.....

SO.....

After a crazy taxi ride from Hurghada.....
I finally found a way back to Cairo......
A nice quiet Bus to sleep on.....

Here is how I remember El Gouna.....
I was only there for a couple hours in the middle of the night......
Of course everything was open......
And I got some good food before the bus back to Cairo.....
Again ....NOT MY PHOTOS....

That's where I woke up this morning.....
I love traveling.....

Downtown Dahab......
Seriously kick back by the Sea.....
It does not get any more relaxed than here....
They sell alot of water those pipes......
BUT......
It is time to go......
NEXT STOP......
Sharm El Sheikh......
And Away I Go......

It is not all that far from Dahab to Sharm El Sheikh....
But,....  There is about nothing in between.....
Just the Sinai Desert......   That's it......
I got lucky and found a local bus for the trip......
So......
I'm on the road to Sharm El Sheikh.......
May...  2009....

Sure....
There is a highway and lots of sand.....
But......
The Road to Vegas.....
This is not.....
Every few miles there is another checkpoint.....
Some have huge dried-up dusty fountains in the middle of the road.......
Marking the site of some future far off resort town....
All there is to see (of course) is another checkpoint...

A Desert Checkpoint is a world of it's own....isolate...

With Boss guy..... the papers checker guy (with sidekick).... 2 shifty soldiers with machine guns....
3 slow moving even shiftier looking soldiers with machine guns who haunt the vehicles desperately seeking shade....
The guy in the tower......2 fast moving hard to identify soldiers...
1 boss's lackey and gofer.....The Sarge......and 2 (possibly dead or dehydrated) statue soldiers who never move or blink.....
And most important.......Chair guy.....who's hand must never leave the chain pull and is the ONLY one who sits behind a shield......
All the checkpoints get the same amount of vehicles and soldiers as far as I can tell.....
If it were not for some of the various Desert rocks here and there......
You could swear you just past that same checkpoint 2 miles back........
The Sinai Peninsula and Big-Ass Hot Desert....  May 2009....

There are no Strip Malls between the towns......
The towns are pretty much Strip Malls......
They sorta appear in the Desert......
Oasis's in a very dry and brown world......

I DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING....

Do you really want to know how many times a taxi brought me to the go cart tracks because I could not make crossing the Red Sea by ship or take me to the Port please translate with hand signals.......

There is the bank and the 2 taxi cabs episode.....
Best to just let it go.......I think.....
Arabic is like Chinese in the same way German is like Russian....

But it was a interesting place.......

You have to travel pretty far to see signs like this.....

Considering how amazingly cheap everything is around here......
