Cruising the Nile in Cairo

Welcome to another of my ....Adventures in Egypt.....

So.... I find myself on the banks of the Nile in downtown Cairo....

After a full half day at The Egyptian Museum only blocks away.....

This museum is a MUST for you World Class Museum Freaks....

I'm here because the night before I saw river tour boats here....

After unbelievable hours on jet planes.....

Crossing half the world to get here.....

Risking life and limb in a Cairo Taxi Cab....

And more things to numerous to mention.....

I WANT TO GO ON THE NILE RIVER....!!!

The banks and boats look sorta empty at first....

Then I spot a roving group of obvious tourists.....

They are heading down the steps, ....so I join in.....

Off we go for a river boat cruise on the Nile.....

Yep..... A boat load of tourists.....must be in the right place....

I blended right in..... like a Chameleon in the jungle....

BIG FUN ON THE NILE.....

Here's another one of these tour boats .....

Passing by the big tourist Gambling Casino boat....

They do leave the spinning and twirling lights off in daylight....

But the loud , strange, Egyptian music onboard was big fun......

Ya gotta find a boatload of tourists for a river cruise.....

Beautiful downtown Cairo on the Nile river......

This building along the water in Cairo was a key military spot....

It was taken over in 1952 (?) or close to then.....

When Egypt for the 1st time in thousands of years.....

Ousted the foriegn rulers and became a soveriegn nation.....

Egypt has a history that reads like a novel......

BIG HISTORIC FUN.....

Cairo on the Nile....

Yes..... It is a little different ..... Way over in Afrika....

This photo does remind me of Venice, Italy.....

But that's another continent and another story......

At The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt.....

Waiting for them to open up the museum......

And enjoying thier awesome outside pieces.....

No Cameras inside..... and apparently.....

Looting and such is probably a bad idea too....

Yes...... you have to go to Africa to see this place.....

I'm very glad to be here......

There is no other Museum like this one.....

I'll be seeing everything from King Tut's Gold......

To 5,000 year old mummies.....

Absolutely awesome rare and beautiful....

I guess that's why they have the big iron fence....

And all those guys with machine guns.....
