John has returned to paris...  He really loved Paris.... And he wandered ALL OVER the city... spent a whole day inside the louvre... visited cathedrals and wandered the streets...just amazed... but he spent the night on top of the Arc De Triumph ... watched the sun set and watched the eiffel tower light up .... He talked about it often.... sitting on top of Paris with all the streets coming to him in all directions... It was an important location for him....

Here are a couple of HIS pics that he took... and the comments he made....

A day with John

As I told ya my dear Victoria, I found yesterday yer brother as I was leaving home; Then I decided we would spend the day together
He followed me to office at La Defense, I don’t know if he ever walked that place.
The great Arche of La Defense where I work

John and I having a morning coffee at my office while the computers loads
And he surely enjoyed my co workers !
Fer lunch we went out to see the surrounding I don’t know if he enjoyed !

Afyer the work (he was surely bored by some of the meetings) we went to Arc de Triomphe, it was very crowdy but we found some place to say goodbye to each others before he flew away over the sky of Paris.
I took some pics from the roof fer ya to figure the landscape
The champs Elysées from the roof
A glance on the right to see the old lady ‘Eiffel tower)
Ya see as the Grand Arche look small from here ?

(note that this is the SAME view that John took above to demonstrate the sky)

Dear John, I hope your trip across the country was uneventful. Welcome back to south Louisiana. Don't mind the heat, or the water everywhere, as we have had a lot of rain recently. Most importantly, please excuse our other state bird, the mosquito. They are out in full force right now, enough to carry anyone away.
While it has been a while since you have been here, I want to show you a little of what I call home here. It will take a week or two before we get to your final destination but I do hope you enjoy it.
Due to the generosity of many wonderful people around the world... John will be making some "final travels" ....

His ashes will be scattered at multiple locations all over the globe....

He will be returning to some of his most-beloved travel locations... and will also be traveling to some new and wonderful places that he would have enjoyed....

As the photos and stories come in... I will be posting them here...

Our family cannot show our appreciation enough to all the wonderful people that are participating in this...  Thank you!!
