Really a relaxed kinda resort......
Sorta just oozes relax & enjoy....
Wonder what the tourists pay per day....
I guess I will cross this sea....

After I relax a while....
Soak up some DAHAB......
Wonder what else they eat around here....
Yes......  I know the place looks like a postcard......

THE SINAI

Greetings from the Desert......
I'm travelling South in a Mini-Van.....
With my Bedouin Guide from the Mountain.....
And this other guy who has a Mini-Van......
I managed myself a ride to the Red Sea.....
It is quite a trip.....
So relax.....
Take your shoes off......
Enjoy the rocks and sand......
And Pray We Make It......
From the Sinai Desert.....
On my way to the Red Sea.....

O.K....   So here we go then.....
Lots of  Desert to cross....
And then.....  The Red Sea....
If you have seen enough rocks and sand.....
Then raise your hand now........
You may skip right to the Red Sea.......

Way out in the Desert......
It took us about 3 or 4 hours ....
To get to the Sea from St. Catherine Village....
In a mini-van with air conditioning.....
Not Bad......  They knew the way.....
I'm glad I got a ride.....

MOUNT SINAI

And here is a photo from when we parked the Interstellar cruiser.......
Needing a rest stop, we went hiking and exploring.....
In the rocky, and  deserted , wastelands of Mars.......
Then back to the Cruiser and off we went......
Or......   was that somewhere in Southern asia........
On these longer excursions.......
Things sorta blend together......
Like heat waves and glue......

Of course their are Palm Trees in This Huge Dry Mountain Desert.......
That is the Monastery.......And Monks can do whatever the want.....
God is on their side.......Palm Trees fix up that Dry, Arid , Desert look...

That is one good looking Monastery for the middle of a Desert.......
A very interesting looking place......Old too....... But...... I have to pass.....
I've decided not to bother the Monks.of the Mountain..... although they leave the doors open.....
Sorta a monk-style Bed and Breakfast if you make reservations to see the mountain .......
You have to be approved,  follow strict rules, and  never , ever,  piss off the Monks.......
They may say all that time they spend in meditation and martial arts is for the spirit......
But......a well tuned monk could likely take two camels with no problems......

Probably a interesting  Monastery / Mountain tour with Mountain Monks as guides......
Monks or not.....  bricks ain't free up here in the High Desert......  Tourist's can help......
Since their out here running all over the Mountain anyway.......

Man.......   These Monks ain't playing........Nice place......
Plus thier keeping an eye on The Holy Mountain and all......
Nice Gig.......One of a kind......
Wonder if their all serious-like and dislike outsiders on thier mountain.....
With the back stairs for the mount called the 3,750 steps of Repentance......
Well...... They probably don't get out much anyway......
You know.....High Desert Mountains,.... Guard the Mount.......Sacred Responsibilities.....,.
This is likely top of the food chain if your a Monk........Mount Sinai......
So......  I 'm a traveller......   It's time to travel.......Witch way to Sea....?  
Who wants to go swimming in the RED SEA and get out of this Desert.......

O.K.....   Boys and Girls......  That's it ......were done......
No more Mount Moses...........
No more Camels posing on Mountain tops.....
No more Bedouin Camp 2......
No more St . Katherine Village.....

And No........
I have no idea how they get those Monks to carry water to all the trees they planted.....
I think they dedicate them to Patron Saints of the order or something to make them a little more special......
All around The St. Katherine Monastery at the base of Mount Sinai......

Looking at this ancient Monastery with greenery in the middle of the Sinai Desert Mountains.......
Here, somewhere near Africa, at the base of  Mount Moses,
Where god personally stopped by and set out the rules.......

Sometimes it blows my mind.......
The places I find myself........
