A note: The subways and city buses in Chicago, New York, and D.C. all use cards you purchase from machines........not cash......While L.A. subways also take a card......the buses take cash and have one or two T.V.s per bus to watch on your way (tuned to local news and info in English and Spanish)..........New Orleans has city buses that take cash, old wooden trolleys that serve most the city and take cash......but no T.V.s or subways.
Back to beautiful and warm New Orleans......

This is facing Greenwood cemetary......with the Elk and the Firemans Benevoulant Society Monument.....this is also the one I searched for the names from the records center......This view is from a spot where in all directions you turn you see 17th century cemeteries....Odd Fellows Rest, Cypress Grove and other huge, weird, and interesting places.

A very large and old cemetary....this is where I found the records center for the two biggest cemetaries in the area.

Remember.....on the other side of the banks the land in 10 or more feet lower than the river level (not the bank level)......so you can barely see these big mansions.

A personal note....although I very much enjoyed disneyland (I went to the original park) and although The Coast Starlight (L.A. to Seattle) had the best scenery ......I unfortunetly have no photos to share of the last leg of my trip.....seems like enough though from what I've developed and more yet to come.........at least for this trip.......thanks.
