Yet in the middle of the Nile River Valley....
You still have to hire a guide to ferry you.....
To the Ancient Temples of the Gods....

Just a note:

Last I was in Downtown Cairo......

It was all about window shopping with grandpa and the kids just after dark when it cools down and there is ice cream , food, and movie theatres everywhere.....

I did that evening many times....

That is (the best of) what I know of downtown in Cairo.....
