A while back the British Empire reached around the globe....

So....guess who has some of the best antiquities of all time....

Sure.....a aweful lot of the best has been at the French Royal Palce for a long time (Louvre)....

But Guess who got the rest.......Look at this display:

All about the Parthenon in Athens, Greece....

The most important survivor of Classic Ancient Greece...

The Parthenon site dates to 480 B.C.,

A temple to Athena........and one of the oldest places ever....

These figures are the "Parthenon Marbles".......Originals.....

Yes.....The British Museums are among the worlds very best......

They are all in central London and free.....

What more could you possibly want....

Well.....what are you waiting for......

We've seen the British Science Museum.......

And The Natural History Museum.......

I saw the National Gallery and The Victoria and Albert Museums too......

No photos to show for either of those......

The Victoria and Albert Museum was my last and I was out of space on my camera card by then anyway.....

So I enjoyed seeing the Museum without playing with a camera.......

Let's go see.......

When you enter your in a enclosed huge area for statues and such......

Seems like Greek or Roman architecture.......

Here is where you will find one of best statues ever.....

The only other one (lion) that was even close was the one at the Louvre.....

NO......THIS IS THE ONE.......YES........THIS IS THE ONE....

THE LION OF KNIDOS..... 350-370 B.C..........

This is as good as it gets...... Go see this .....

Look at this thing.....all that history ....

Feel the age and presence this thing has......370 B.C.

It has no equall......Bestest & Oddest & Oldest.....

It is one of the oldest things around that you can just walk up and talk to....

It has seen 2300 years.....

I kid you not....

This is my favorite and gets my vote.......

This is one of only so many treasured world antiquities that has to be seen and felt....

The Lion of Knidos is the real deal........

There are four of these huge bronze lions watching the Kasr-el-Nil bridge in Cairo....

YES....I'M BACK !!

YES.....Egypt was the best adventure ever....

YES.....The Nile Valley is the most beautiful place ever.....

Morning sun as you cross the Nile and head into the Temples of Luxor and Karnac....

Very nice.....very expensive, ....very cool....

And a bit much on my kinda travel budget......
