Welcome to:
SALZBURG
AUSTRIA
O.K......So I did not get a photo of Mozarts grave....
Turns out he was buried in a unmarked mass grave.....
He was buried in Vienna in St. Marxfriedhof in 1756....
Much later ....in 1859... they put up a monument in the apx. spot....and then moved the monument to Vienna's Zentralfriedhof in 1891....
Although buried in a mass grave..... a gravedigger who digs up bones to be crushed so the area can be re-used .....found what has been shown to be Mozarts skull.....
The skull was given to the Mozarteum University of Music and Drama, ....Here in Salzburg , Austria.......
This photo show his Monument in Mozart Square in Salzburg.....
1842....
Camera got a bit fogged up with the weather....
So......crummy photo......pretty good story.....
This beautiful fountian with Nepune riding a seahorse was built in 1732 when this area was a horse pond.....
The pond still surrounds the fountian.....
So they put in a ramp on the front so the horses could walk up to the fountian and drink water poured by Neptune himself.....
Chapter Square Fountian ......1732....

Maybe it's for the best......
This thing is creepy....
It sit in a archway outside a Cathedral.......
It's a Bronze Statue....of a empty coat....or....cape....
Nothing inside.....just the cape........???
The Grim Reapers got nothing on this thing.....

BIG GOOSEBUMPS FUN....
This is a monument to Dr. Karl Renner.....1870-1950
Chancellor and many other presidential roles here in Austria....
This is not his Tomb.....
He is buried in Zentralfriedhof......in Vienna....
Zentralfriedhof is Europes 1st or 2nd largest cemetary....
He rests with other distinguished Vienna people like:
Franz Schubert, Johahnn Strauss, and Ludwig Van Beethovan, who had hoped to study with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart here in Vienna, but arrived in 1792,....1 year after his death......
O.K........so this small area of trees in awesome 1st district Vienna.....Is probably not where "Peter and the Wolf" was set in......
Or where Bugs, Elmer and Daffy hang out......
But.....since it's a stone throw from the Danube river and next to the Hofburg Royal Palace in the most beautiful area of Vienna....
I'll just call it a little Vienna Woods.....
BIG VIENNA FUN......
At Maria-Theresien-Platz in Museumsquartier the awesome monument of Empress Maria Theresa of Austro-Hungaria and both the Museum of Fine Arts and The Museum of Natural History date to 1819....
The museums are both huge and beautiful and are identical from the outside....
On either side of the Platz is the museums and the monument in the center....
